This year the West Missouri Optimists will be putting their new pins on proudly! The reason: their new dangle-style pin features three baby penguins along with a mother penguin standing on an iceberg, and it’s a great example of what you can do with dangles as part of lapel pin design! We’re proud to have produced this pin for their organization, which promotes Optimism as a way of life for those that have “seized the moment” and become Optimist club members. The Optimist motto is “Friend of Youth;” in fact Optimists tout themselves as being in the “kids’ business.” This pin is a perfect example of what the Optimists are all about, and we’re proud to be the source of these great pins!
The Safe Surfin’ Foundation, which promotes the use of safety while “surfing” the internet, got a boost from a supportive non-profit organization this year. The Organization helped facilitate a lapel pin for its organization to be used as a fund-raiser. The Safe Surfin’ Foundation provides parents, teachers and school administrators, law enforcement, community groups and librarians with the information and resources necessary to keep children safe and their exploration of the Internet fun.

The lapel pins we produced this summer for Morris County High School in Denvill, NJ were such a hit that they ordered more within three months! According to Principal Steven Kramer, he hasn’t seen a pin go over so well since he’s been a high school principal. We designed a beautiful, stylized pin featuring a knight with sword, shield and cape with the words “Crusader Pride!” off to one side. This design was very well received by his high schoolers, and we’re proud of their reaction, as it proves once more that our pin designs are a hit with every age group. If you’ve been thinking of designing a pin for your school, this one might serve as a good example.
