Die-Cast Zinc Metal Challenge Coin
Zinc is used as the base metal for challenge coins when the end result needs to be 3-dimensional, extra thick, or silk-screened on top of the enamel color. The die-casting process allows the coin to be up to 5mm thick. Using the cloisonné-B process, vivid colors are hand-filled in the recessed pockets of the coin. Coins can have shiny or antiqued finishes in a 2-D or 3-D process on the front and back.
